Module Description
Investing is usually considered to be a standard personal finance topic, but in Follow For Now I’ve decided to split it out and give investing its very own section. When most people think of investing that usually means stocks, Wall Street, and a lot of scary and confusing issues. Completing this section will ensure that you don’t become one of those people.
You’ll find out what the stock market is and how you can use it to make money. Like with most sections you’ll get a first look at words and concepts that are new to you. The list will include stock, risk, and recession.
In this module you’ll learn how to invest, assets you can invest in, businesses and experts (like Jim Cramer) that can help you on your journey, and where to go to practice investing. In the world of investing, knowledge and experience are crucial pieces of the puzzle.
Investing is a topic close to my heart and, in this module, I’ll take a minute to reveal how it may play a part in my future life. I even included the story of the Great Recession of 2008, an event that is endlessly fascinating to me, and how the world almost blew up.
This module has 10 sections with quizzes at the end of each section. At the end of the module there is a special investing wrap-up, a module checklist, additional investing resources to check out, and things conclude with a 28-question module exam.
This Module Will Include:
► Learning text that is divided up into small bites of material with each section focused on a single topic. Sections also include a suggested list of other sources if you’d like to do further study and find out more about that topic.
►A quiz at the end of each section, to assess your understanding of the key points in that section, that must be completed with a perfect score of 100%. (You have a maximum of 7 attempts. Your attempts are tracked and counted.)
►An exam at the end of the module, which you will take just one time, to give an overall assessment of how well you understand the key points of the module. (Many of the same questions from the quizzes will show up here.)
